There was a storm brewing, but we didn't know it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI snapped a few photos, we looked out over Paris and then the downpour started! We were stuck at the top of the cathedral because the water was falling from the sky with such force that the spiral staircase turned into a waterfall. Everyone huddled together to try to escape the wetness. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhen the rain started to subside a little bit we managed to go down the stairs by sticking to the outside of the staircase. Upon reaching the bottom the entire entrance to the cathedral was flooded. We somehow managed to grab onto the metal gate that surrounded and work our way over, bar by bar to higher ground.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis photo was taken prior to the rain enveloping the city.
